Camelina, an oilseed plant, is being considered as a biofuel for air transportation by the Avril group. The group must obtain authorization from Brussels to develop this crop. Compared to rapeseed, camelina has a shorter growth cycle and requires specific agricultural adjustments. French farmers are awaiting improvements in the markets for this crop. This improvement depends on the fluctuation of rapeseed prices that camelina is intended to replace.
