Brazil: Soybean exports increase despite environmental concerns

The Amazon rainforest has seen record levels of deforestation, with 4656 km² ravaged in just one year to be exploited as soybean plantations and/or pastures. Brazilian soybean producers have called this a "protectionism disguised as an environmental concern" and suggested the EU ban on imports of products that contribute to deforestation.
